This is a bit of a companion piece to "(Together) We Own The Sky." It paints a romantic picture from the perspective of a devotee. Faith is what drives the protagonist here, faith in the "Goddess of Night." The original plan was to write a prayer to Guanyin, but this was the song that wound up wanting to be written. On its own, it was a pretty good song. Then, in a late night conversation with Kelly Kintner (of the Kintners), I showed him the song and he and Keri (also of the Kintners) added their magic touches and the song really came to life. It's an amazing performance by everyone and I am so fortunate to have shared the "stage" with the Kintners. Check out their album, COLLABORATIONS, here on Bandcamp or wherever you consume music.
