Brian originally wrote and recorded this song with his band, the Barnacles, in 2005 and released it with their CQD album in 2007. Due to a string a bad timing, the song never really got exposure and sat unnoticed for years. It had always been his favourite from that time period and he vowed one day to re-record it. One day was one day in 2020 and it finally got laid down. Birmingham New Street is an ode to the British Railway station of the same name, that he used to board trains to Liverpool and again to London. It closes out this album as the party is over and the last song should lull you to sleep (unless you want to hear the whole record again).
